ABOUT US
My love of dance started at a very early age when I began to attend classes in my home town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. At the age of thirteen I became a Suffolk County Ballet Scholar. At sixteen, I auditioned and gained a place at Laine Theatre Arts College in Epsom, Surrey where I trained for three years. During this time I gained my teaching qualifications with the I.S.T.D. in the genres of Ballet, Tap and Modern.
After graduating from Laine Theatre Arts I did some free-lance teaching for a couple of years. In 1999 I got the chance to take over The Quay School Of Dance.
I am always striving to develop my knowledge and skills as a dance teacher and regularly attend courses held by the I.S.T.D. I love teaching children and adults of all ages.
It has been a pleasure to steer this ship for over twenty years with a wonderful team of dedicated and talented teachers by my side.
Principal -
My dancing career started at the tender age of three in Chelmsford. I continued with my classes in ballet, adding modern, tap and national genres as I progressed.
My most formative years were spent under the tuition of Ivy Baker in Clacton -
Through Ivy Baker I started my teaching career -
On returning to England to resume teaching here, I spent several years as Ballet Mistress at Oxford House School in Colchester whilst running my own school in Suffolk, before joining The Quay School of Dance over twenty years ago.
Vice Principal -
I started dancing at the age of three at The Quay School of Theatre Dance in my home town of Sudbury, Suffolk. I continued my dance training here for fifteen years until, on completion of my A Levels, I gained a place at Penny Meekings Teacher Training College in Hertfordshire.
Whilst at college I studied the genres of Ballet, Modern Theatre, Tap and National and was awarded my Certificate in Dance Education.
I am now back where my journey began and hope to inspire children the way my teachers have inspired me.

I started dancing at the age of three at The Quay School of Dance. From an early age I loved all different styles of dancing and at sixteen I got the opportunity to move to London to study Musical Theatre at The Centre of Performing Arts College.
I then went on to dance professionally all over the world for Carnival Cruise Lines and MSC Cruise Lines. I performed in Cabaret shows in Cyprus as well as in music videos like George Sampson’s Singing in the Rain. I also worked as a dance teacher all across London and on board Cruise ships.
I feel so honoured to be back where it all began and to teach alongside Miss Marie and Miss Stephanie who inspired me all those years ago. I am loving sharing my passion for dance with all the students at the Quay School of Dance.
